The Board of County Commissioners enacted Ordinance No. 81-7 on August 25, 1981. The Housing Finance Authority is authorized under Chapter 159, Florida Statutes and County Codes Chapter 32, to issue single and multifamily tax exempt revenue bonds to finance qualified affordable housing projects in Alachua County. The HFA Board consists of 5 members of which at least three of its members are required to be knowledgeable in the fields of labor, finance or commerce.
