The Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 88-106 to establish the Health Care Advisory Board. The responsibilities of the HCAB is to (1) identify specific gaps in health services available for low-income reidents, (2) design program for meeting identified service needs, (3) recommend patient eligibility criterian and screening procedures, (4) montior provider contracts and county health care expenditures, (5) advise on community health care needs and status and (6) identify additional state and federal resources available for providing indigent health care in Alachua County.
