Advise the Board of County Commissioners on the health care and medical needs of low-income residents by identifying  gaps in services currently available, providing expertise in designing programs for meeting identified service needs, staying congnizent of community health care needs and the progress made in addressing these needs, and identifying additional state and federal resources available for providing indigent health care in Alachua County.
