The Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MTPO) for the Gainesville and Alachua Area is responsible for carrying out the region's metropolitan transportation planning program in collaboration with local officials and residents.  This is required to receive federal and state funding for highway, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian transportation projects.  The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) consists of citizen volunteers.  The CAC reviews transportation plans and programs from a citizen perspective and makes recommendations to the MTPO.  If you are interested in serving on the Committee, please complete and submit an application for appointment.
