On July 12, 1983, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 83-50 to establish the Alachua County Veteran Services Advisory Board (VSAB).  The VSAB has a 10 member board consisting of Gulf War, Post 911, and citizens at large positions and an alternate.  The VSAB responsibilities include (1) make recommendations; (2) assist and advise on policies and directions; (3) promote community awareness of veteran services and veteran organizations and (4) receive reports from Alachua County Veteran Services.
